This training course has been approved by Zero to Three and First 5 Alabama as the training required for competent use of the DC:0-5 Diagnostic Classification manual.


As this training is designed for advanced practitioners such as mental health clinicians, psychiatrists, pediatricians, nurse practitioners, and early intervention specialists whose work with infants, young children, and their families involves assessment, diagnosis, and case formulation, to attend this training you should:

- Hold, at least, a Master’s degree in mental health, health, or a related early childhood field.

- Be a licensed or credentialed practitioner in a mental health field or health field.


To attend this training you must:

Continuing Education Hours:

This event will provide up to 12 NBCC qualified continuing education hours (of which two [2] will be in ethics).

CE Certificates of completion will show only those hours attended.


*There will be no refunds for partial attendance.*


Any full refunds must be requested prior to the training event, and, if possible, will be processed to the type of payment used for the event. The refund will be reduced by a $20 registration management fee.


Costs:

Learning Outcomes:

- Learn a multi-axial approach to diagnosis for mental health and developmental disorders of infancy and early childhood which is developmentally informed, relationship-based, and contextually and culturally grounded.

- Use of DC:0-5 diagnostic criteria for classification, case formulation, and intervention in infancy and early childhood.

- Differentiative and compare DC:0-5 diagnostics to DSM-5, and ICD-10 nomenclature.

- Need for competence in diagnostic approaches dependent on developmental stage, life context, and cultural factors.
